Easy Access to Recent SearchesSept. 27, 2011
Recent search activity will now appear under a drop-down menu on each page below our man ListMetrics box. The box will store up to the last ten searches performed and is deleted once you log out. Thus, upon a new session, no drop down menu will appear until some new searches have been made.
MBS Data available via APISept. 15, 2011
Our API has been extended to encompass our ABS/MBS Trade Database. Now it's even easier to embed the only commercial source of MBS Market Data into your own internal systems. Just hit our site with a cusip and authorization signature, and we'll return all the data we have for the bond (trade data, dealer price talk, and dealer offerings).
Contact us directly for pricing info, and an authorization key.

Search Metadata In Auto CompleteJune 24, 2011
The auto-complete feature of our search form has been updated to give you access to more essential data before you commit to a search, ensuring that your searches are of the utmost relevance.
In our circled example above, the metadata is as follows:
* 92922FJ25 is the CUSIP of the bond.
* 16:5, the 16 represents the number of times this bond appears in our trade database, the 5 represents the number of times this bond appears in our offers database.
* 06/14/11, this is the date of the most recent datapoint in our database for this bond, it may be from either the trade or the offer database.
Note: If the new auto-complete feature is not working for you, please clear your browser’s cache.
Price Talk VectorsJune 7, 2011
Above is a snippet of a sample BWIC. First, you will notice that price talk is displayed even after auction results become available. Additionally, for every bond that we have price talk from multiple dealers, the displayed price talk is an average. In the circled example above, the price talk is displayed 5:101.5. The number before the color, 5, indicates how many dealers we have indexed priced talk for on this bond. The decimal number to the right of the colon, 101.50, is the average of that talk. The PxTalk field becomes a hyperlink when we have talk from more than one dealer. Click through to see how wide the variation is for the price talk. For the example bond, the dealer level price talk is displayed below. To compute averages, we convert prose description of prices, such as “mid 50s”, to decimal form. The original list used for this example is accessible here: http://www.empirasign.com/db/view_bwic.php?list_id=110607D (Subscription Required).
